I have officially begun my job as North York Area Director! Kate and I are very excited and it feels like an amazing fit. The job will have a MASSIVE learning curve for me, so pray for patience, and also that I would wait upon God and join Him in HIS mission, not driving forward with my own visions, goals and ideas.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers about my new role. It is going well and things are slowly becoming more concrete. As I wait and seek to listen to God, it is really taking me to the core of my beliefs and my trust in God's intimate reality and daily engagement in our lives. I am questioning things to the core, which is necessary but somewhat daunting. Pray for a deepening trust in God and a personal engagement with Him through prayer. Also that I would desire God Himself more than some experience of Him!

I'm heading off for a week of training in Ancaster, ON. Please pray for health, an openness to God and discernment as I know the week will be packed with great ideas and thoughts about how to lead YU ministry in North York. Thanks!

Thanks for your prayers while I was at training in Ancaster. It was a pretty good week - I wasn't challenged in ways I expected to be, but the week really made me contemplate what the Gospel really is, what evangelism really means and how I can teach and communicate those things to my staff and the youth of North York. Good things to think about!

Hi everyone,
I've got a few important decisions to make in the upcoming weeks about staffing, funding, etc. These are really the first key decisions I'm having to make in my role, so pray for trust, confidence and discernment!
I'm so grateful for all of your prayers, the way God has provided abundantly and how much I love my job.

Hi everyone. I would appreciate your prayers for the last two weeks of work before Kate and I head to Australia! I've got a community assessment report due the day before I leave, which includes running a focus group on October 15th. PLEASE pray that everyone I've invited comes out!!!!!

Thanks for your prayers. Although the focus group didn't pan out as planned, it still happened and I gained some valuable insights from it. And I've got a rough draft of the assessment done...almost there!

It's funny to look back and see my first entry about a year ago when I was just beginning with Youth Unlimited. Thanks for all of your prayers over this year.
God has provided some amazing new people who want to serve the youth of North York through Youth Unlimited. Please pray for me as I seek to equip these new staff, shepherd them, and resource them in their ministries.
