THIS SATURDAY, November 22, some of us are helping to clean out, clean up and paint the resource rooms in the basement of the Willowtree apartment complex. Toronto City Mission has often used these for programming in the past, but they have fallen into disrepair. We are going to be working alongside some of the youth who live in the building and we'd also love to set something up on a regular basis to keep the rooms in good condition. We need some help though as the rooms are big and need a lot of work. Here's the plan:
8:00 am - 'Heavy-lifting' - removing furniture, putting books in boxes, clearing the rooms out
9:30 am - 'First Clean' - vacuum and other basic cleaning
10:30 am - 'Paint' - prep the walls, and get painting
Some time - 'Final Clean' - clean up after ourselves and put everything back in the room
