Mark and Naomi's Move

Hi, Tilters!

Noami and I are finally coming south on Saturday, May17th! We're moving from a basement at Bayview and 16th to a highrise at Bayview and Finch.

I'm renting a U-Haul from 8AM-1PM. The big furniture and a lot of the boxes will already be in the house garage as of Friday night. The truck has to be back at the lot within 5 hours, so I'm gonna try to make the move as painless as possible in the days leading up to Saturday.

This should mostly be a stairless move: from the garage onto the truck, and then up the service elevator and down the hallway. And we have no sofas or appliances... woo hoo!

We could really use a couple of extra hands. Even if it's just later in the morning at 60 Ruddington (the new address). Again, it's all about getting the truck back in time. And when we're done, a typical "move lunch" of pizza and drinks will be provided.

So far, it's just Naomi and I and her parents.

Okay... just so you know:

We had a bit of a service elevator conflict, so the time of the move has changed.

I now have the UHaul truck from 2PM Saturday until Sunday. Not that the move will go until Sunday, I just have the truch till then. The move has to be done by 8PM as per the service elevator schedule. It starts at 2, and we can be a bit more relaxed.

No 8AM crack of dawn move! Woo hoo! See you at 2!

I guess the "move lunch" will now be a "move supper", and Naomi's mom is bringing a trough of hememade chili.
