As the Church, Christ's tangible Body, we are called to literally 'put flesh' on God's Kingdom wherever we are. To be light. Thus, one of the ways we pray at TILT is to face the direction of the place to which we are called. This may be where we work, our neighbourhood, a coffee shop we frequent, our church building, where friends live, wherever. One of the ways we do this online is through the prayer map. Check it out here. This is another way to do it. Post those places to which you are called. Tell us a little bit about those places and we can pray for one another IN those places, and for those places themselves.

As part of my new job with Youth Unlimited, I am volunteering in one of our Friday night basketball programs with youth in the Jane-Finch area. Although the media exploits the conditions there, it truly is another world just 10km away from our church building. The youth have little sense of direction in life, are hopeless, and stuck in cycles of poverty, violence, injustice and racism. Pray that the hope of Christ may be visible to them, that their lives would be transformed and in turn the Jane-Finch community would be transformed by God using them in their community.
Pray for me as I build relationships with them - that I would be patient and know when to speak, listen or be silent.
