Boy- everyone signed up fast! Do you want us to pick up some lunch type stuff and put some sandwich fillers together to help out with lunches? We'd be glad to do that.

Hey Laura:
I talked to Mark tonight and he said they are good for lunches because they are eating leftovers! Thank you very much for the offer. We'll see how they are doing mid-way through next week and if we can continue to help with dinners, then we'll sign you up! Is that ok?

Wow, everyone. I have no idea what to say.
This has been the most profound outpouring of love and support I've ever seen, let alone experienced. I have no idea where Naomi and I would be without your help - mostly exhausted, frustrated, hungry, and financially struggling, I presume. We feel none of the above, thanks to all of you, and Naomi is able to continue working and studying as I try to start walking around again, and start thinking about going back to class and work.
I'm off the narcotic pain killers and onto the Advil. I've felt remarkably little pain, and even though I've never cut anything off before (so had no idea what to expect), I attribute the relative smoothness to your prayers. Next Thusday the dressing comes off and I move to a new phase of recovery.
Naomi and I and our homestay students have loved the delicious dinners you've all provided. At dinnertime, my usual moans and groans of discomfort turn to moans and groans of culinary delight joined by the other members of the household. It allows me to fit in for just a few minutes of the day as we all "mmmmm!" together. So thank you. Because for the rest of the time they all just make fun of me.
As you might imagine, it has taken me a long time to type this with one hand. But no message, no matter how long, could sufficiently convey our gratitude.
We love you all so much; during this difficult time, thank you for bringing the kingdom of God to our door. Can't wait to see you all on Sunday.
Mark
